"Scrapple from the Apple" is a bebop composition by Charlie Parker written in , commonly recognized today as a jazz standard, written in F major. The song borrows its chord progression from " Honeysuckle Rose ", [1] a common practice for Parker, as he based many of his successful tunes over already well-known chord safalderolovi.edpontergtasibaforriconresowsret.co sets: Charlie Parker's Savoy and Dial sessions, .

‎One of a handful of musicians who can be said to have permanently changed jazz, Charlie Parker was arguably the greatest saxophonist of all time. He could play remarkably fast lines that, if slowed down to half speed, would reveal that every note made sense. "Bird," along with his contemporaries Diz. Available with an Apple Music subscription.

Charlie Parker radically reshaped jazz, changing the way musicians, fans and critics approached it. If Dizzy Gillespie was bop's patron saint, Parker was its founding elder. He was an amazing improviser, who used a slow, thin vibrato, astonishing harmonic knowledge and total technical command to recast songs via his solos. He usually ignored the melody and instead went to the harmonic structure.
